Hello! My name’s Alayna, and I’m a New York based tattoo artist.
I was born in the city of Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, but I was raised in the town of Boquerón, Cabo Rojo. I have been drawing and doing art ever since I could hold a pencil (quite literally). I grew up surrounded by videogames and movies, which inspired me to draw a lot of fantasy related characters and into creating stories for them.
My art started leaning heavily into the anime style up until university. I decided to take my art more seriously, and started studying fine arts in university. I majored in Drawing, and there I rediscovered my love for art, specifically Classical, Romantic, and Neoclassical art.
After moving to New York I discovered a new-found love for tattoos and the art of tattooing. I enjoy working with fineline and micro realistic pieces the most. I love the delicate balance between lines, shapes, forms, and the amount of detail that goes into even the simplest tattoo.
Outside of tattooing, I enjoy playing video games, drawing my original characters, writing, and reading. Some of my favorite media genres are fantasy, science fiction, and science.
You’ll probably catch me reading a Game of Thrones, Star Wars, or one of Stephen Hawking’s books on the train. And if I’m not reading, you’ll catch me doodling my favorite character, Tazzlyn.
